After training, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Work in pairs and as individuals to apply set assessment criteria to assess students participating on Career Development modules, ncl+ Award and ncl Excel;
- Make reference to clear assessment criteria to produce formative feedback for individual students.
- Provide cover in the event of assessor absence and to liaise with Careers Service staff on specified assessment matters.
This post is only available to Newcastle University full time postgraduate students who are eligible to work in the UK. Applicants are expected to possess an undergraduate degree from a recognised University and can demonstrate current experience of assessing Undergraduate students against stipulated criterion.
Successful applicants will be expected to commit 24-36 hours between 13/3/15 – 29/5/15 with most hours being accumulated in the 3 week period from 11/5/15 to 29/5/15. Candidates are also expected to attend two assessor training sessions in March as part of the Postgraduate assessor selection process.
Closing date is 19/2/15 and interviews will be on 10/3/15
Successful applicants will have demonstrated that they are skilled communicators able to participate confidently in “professional conversations” and evaluate written evidence against set criteria.
