We’ve been contacted by A.T.Kearney regarding their ‘Falling Walls‘ competition. Aimed at academics, postgraduates and entrepreneurs, the competition asks you to pitch your innovative research idea, with the opportunity to go on to their final event in Berlin. The event takes place on 17th October at Tate Modern, and deadlines for submissions are Friday 3rd October (the deadline on their website has been extended by a week). Details below!
Do you have an idea to inspire humanity?
A.T. Kearney invites students, scientists, and innovators to share their research and entrepreneurial ideas at the Falling Walls Lab in London on Friday, 17 October 2014.
The Falling Walls Lab was launched in 2011, a collaboration between The Falling Walls Foundation and A.T. Kearney, the leading global management consultancy, to give young scientists and professionals a global platform for their innovative ideas.
The Falling Walls Lab London offers young academics, professionals, and entrepreneurs a high profile platform to showcase their innovative research to a panel of luminaries from the worlds of academia, research, and business. Falling Walls Lab is a new challenging, inspiring and interdisciplinary format for young bright minds. It offers the opportunity to young academics and professionals to present their outstanding ideas, research projects and initiatives.
There’s no one model or discipline that we’re searching for – last year’s London submissions spanned cultural frameworks, education programmes, organic chemistry research and graphic design solutions from bright young students, professionals and PhD researchers.
The catch? You only have three minutes to pitch your idea to the panel.
Who Can Apply?
Masters students or PhD candidates, young professionals, scientists, or entrepreneurs from all disciplines, under the age of 35, are invited to apply. The Lab is open for participants from all countries.
Being part of the London Lab gives you a high level networking platform, an opportunity to engage and exchange with key decision-makers and like-minded innovators, and a chance to represent your institution on a global stage.
The winners of the qualifying London Lab will be given the opportunity to present their research at the final Falling Walls Lab in Berlin where they will share their winning ideas with 100 finalists from all over the globe.
The prize includes a ticket for the Falling Walls Conference, the International Conference on Future Breakthroughs in Science and Society. Travel and accommodation costs to Berlin from 8-9 November 2014 will be covered.
